The Woodlands in Texas is a wonderful place to live, with comfortable year round temperatures. The low in January is an average of 42 degrees when most of the country is in the 20’s. This makes for lovely winter strolls and crisp evenings out under the stars. There are elegant holiday events that everyone will enjoy. Here are a few of our favorites in December and January:
Holiday Events
December 8-10, is the Tomball German Christmas Market and Festival. There will be over 200 street vendors, tents, musicians, German food, Christmas lights, and strolling entertainers. The children will enjoy a petting zoo, bungee-jumping, and pony rides. It is free to get in and there is parking at the Old Klein’s grocery store with a shuttle service on Saturday and Sunday.
Don’t forget the ice skating rink is open now and every day at the Woodland Town Mall through January 15, 2018. Come out and skate or enjoy people watching and holiday shopping at the mall.
December 17th at 10:00 am, is an exciting day for dog lovers at Bear Branch Park. Bring your lovable pet to the treat hunt and holiday costume contest. Decorate a stocking for your fur baby. Pre-registration is required to be a participant or just come out, sip hot cocoa and check out the pups.
December 17th at 5:30-7 pm, enjoy Community Christmas Caroling under the stars. A festive worship experience called Harvest Night of Carols takes place at the outdoor amphitheater at Hughes Landing. You may want to have dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.
