Living In Harmony

For many families, The Woodlands is the ideal location to live. There’s luxury shopping, highly rated schools, and great proximity to the Greater Houston Area. But a little-less-known community just on the east side of I-45 may have the same allure with newer amenities. Haromy is a master-planned community with 1,000 acres, home sites for 2,600 new single-family homes, and 35 acres of prime commercial property.

“Harmony has selected some of the top new home builders in the Houston area to offer attractive floor plans is our masterfully designed community. Each home builder maintains a commitment to high construction standards and energy efficiency, ensuring a quality built home that is certified at the highest levels of the Energy Star Certification program.” – Harmony-Houston.com

The community includes on-site schools, family parks, shopping, and convenient medical centers, such as Texas Children’s Pediatrics Rayford. Adjoining the south side of the Grand Parkway (SH 99), the community has quick and unimpeded access to main highways. The Hardy Toll Road, Interstate 45, and even Interstate 69 are all accessible from SH 99.

Schools

Cox IntermediateYork Junior High, and Grand Oaks High School are highly rated schools, along with two on-site early childhood education centers, such as Primrose School Of Harmony, located toward the front of the community. Conroe ISD is the 11th largest district in the state and became the largest district in the State to ever achieve the highest rating of Exemplary in 2010.

“Conroe ISD is a geographically diverse, 348 square mile school district located in the Houston, Texas metropolitan area that includes The Woodlands, Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North, Conroe, and Caney Creek, as well as several other smaller towns, communities, and unincorporated areas. Conroe ISD continues to be one of the fastest growing districts gaining approximately 1,500 students per year.” – ConroeISD.net

Parks & Recreation

Harmony has two on-site recreation centers with resort-quality pools. The community takes advantage of the natural surrounding beauty with tree-lined parks and hike-and-bike trails. The Thicket, Wander Park and Bearfoot Park all reside inside the community.

“[Bearfoot Park’s] resort-style pool offers a beach-entry lagoon, comfortable poolside seating and ample shade allowing for hours of family enjoyment. An adjacent splash pad with synchronized pop-jet fountains promises even more fun for kids of all ages. A community pavilion anchors the pool complex, providing the perfect spot for a children’s birthday party or an evening with neighbors in front of the outdoor fireplace on a cool winter night. Barefoot Park also features a multi-use SportCourt, tennis courts and vast open green space.” – Harmony-Houston.com

Other local recreational facilities include the Spring Creek Greenway. Established in 2004, the greenway ultimately will connect and protect up to 12,000 acres in Houston and Spring, Texas for hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing and bird watching.
