June is full of great entertainment in and around The Woodlands no matter a person’s interests. Here are just a few of the events happening during June in the area:
Waterway Nights
June 10, 17, 24- 6 pm at Waterway Square
Waterway Nights is a live music event every Saturday evening in June. One of the great things about this event is that it is free, making it a great way to get out and meet new neighbors and others in the community. Each Saturday evening there will be a different group or performer, allowing people with different music preferences the opportunity to enjoy a performance suited to their style.
Houston Dash vs. Orlando Pride
June 17– 7:30 pm at BBVA Compass Stadium
Anyone who is a fan of women’s soccer will not want to miss this Houston Dash game where internationally recognized players such as Morgan Brian (Houston Dash) and Ali Krieger (Orlando Pride) will be competing. The Houston Dash have another home game on June 28, also at 7:30, against the Boston Breakers.
Chicago & The Doobie Brothers
June 18– 7:30 pm at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
Many of the members have changed over the years, but Chicago continues to tour. This year, they are making a stop in the area accompanied by The Doobie Brothers. This is an opportunity for people who grew up in the 1970s to be transported back to their childhoods.
Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull
June 18– 6 pm at the Toyota Center
Unfortunately, people will have to pick between attending the Chicago concert and seeing Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull perform since the concerts are the same night. Luckily, those who want to enjoy Iglesias’ Latin beats and Pitbull’s rapping, the duo is coming back to the Toyota Center on September 22.
Of course, these are just a few of the great events happening in the area in June. The Woodlands and surrounding cities offer an assortment of other activities for residents and visitors alike to enjoy.
