Upcoming Events in The Woodlands This Month
Autumn and back to school season are upon us, and with them comes a lively month near your home in The Woodlands! With summer vacation officially at an end, many great events are coming to The Woodlands area that families and local homeowners will love. These fun events will happen throughout September:
September 10 – October 15, Sundays weekly from 5:30-7:30 p.m.: Concerts in the Park
Enjoy our comfortably warm fall weather with a weekly outdoor fall concert series featuring local musicians in genres such as country and classic rock. The free music and accompanying activities are fun for the entire family! Bring a chair or blanket, a picnic supper, and get ready to rock out.
September 16, 9-11 a.m.: Nature Exploration Walk: Who Lives in the Woods?
Older kids and adults will love experiencing the free nature walk series featuring the wilder areas in The Woodlands. September’s walk, at a leisurely pace, will explore the wildlife native to The Woodlands. Please register in advance at the event page.
September 16, 12-7 p.m.: Tribute To The Woodlands Music Festival
Bring the entire family the inaugural year of this fun festival. Cover bands celebrating popular hits from the 1960s to the 2000s will play your favorites throughout the afternoon. There will also be a kid zone, food trucks, and local vendors. Kids 12 & under, military personnel, teachers, police officers, and first responders attend for free. Tickets for everyone else are $10, with a 2 for 1 $10 ticket deal lasting until September 15.
September 23 (rain date September 30), all day: Fall Fine Arts Show
Come view the art, photography, crafts, jewelry, and more showcased by top artists in The Woodlands at this popular event on Market Street. Fun art activities for kids will take place throughout the day. The art show is free to attend for all ages.
September 30, 4-7 p.m.: 2nd Annual Fall Festival
The whole family will have a great time at this local fall extravaganza. Activities kids will love include carnival games, an obstacle course, face painting, and a trackless train ride. All guests will enjoy exploring the pumpkin patch, traditional Burmese and Nepali dancing, and carnival food. Tickets are $10, and all proceeds go toward supporting local refugees.
