24 Hour Fitness – The two local 24 Hour Fitness centers also offer the SilverSneakers® program, including circuits focused on strength, cardio, and yoga. Their Active Aging program includes low impact classes, including Aqua Zumba, water classes, and Zumba Gold.
The Woodlands Yoga Studio – This local business offers special senior and gentle yoga classes, and a senior discount for all classes they offer.
55+ Active Communities that Offer Active Recreation
Bonterra at Woodforest – This active community in Montgomery includes over 700 acres of land dedicated to sports and recreation. Along with taking a walk, run, or bike ride on an extensive network of trails, Bonterra at Woodforest offers a full service fitness center, fitness classes, bocce & pickle ball, a pool and tennis complex, and a 27 hole golf course. After a day of exercise, relax in the hot tub or lagoon style pool.
Del Webb The Woodlands – This 55+ community makes it easy to stay active and social, with onsite activities such as biking trails, an indoor pool, bocce ball, a fitness center, and biking trails. After working out, attend to any sore muscles at the spa and resort pool.
Windsor Hills – This neighborhood for adults 55 & up has great amenities for an active lifestyle, like trails for walking and biking, a ballroom, a fitness center, a billiards room, and a shuffleboard court. For a more low-key active activity, relax in the beautiful parks and open spaces.
