With the weather warming up in April, events this month are taking an outdoor focus. These are some events coming up this month in The Woodlands that we recommend for families in town:


April 7-9, all day: The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival

One of the top art festivals in the world comes to The Woodlands every year, and this year should be as spectacular as the rest. Come view and shop for unique, beautiful pieces from local artists. In addition to the art, live music will play on three stages, with chef demonstrations on a fourth stage, and they’ll have delicious food from local restaurants. Tickets to this family friendly event are $12, or free for children 12 & under.


April 7-15: Easter Activities & Events in The Woodlands

For those of you who love the Easter bunny, The Woodlands will have a number of nondenominational events for families and children to commemorate the holiday. The City of The Woodlands’ official events include flashlight and kayak Easter egg hunts, breakfast, brunch, or dinner with the Easter bunny, and a Bunny Bash. In addition, The Woodlands Mall will also have ongoing photo opportunities with the Easter bunny, and The Woodlands Children’s Museum features special Easter activities for children. Prices and times vary based depending on the event.


April 19 & 26 and May 3rd, 6-8 p.m.: Creekside Park Unplugged

Creekside Park will host three free acoustic musical performances in late April and early May that should be fun for the entire family. The performances feature acoustic covers on April 19, popular cover music on April 26, and popular hits from the 1960s through the present on May 3rd.


April 30, 7-9 p.m.: The Woodlands Symphony Presents the HomeGrown Concert: Celebrating Generations of Musicians and Artists in Harmony

Local musicians of all ages will show their musical talents at this special Woodlands Symphony event. The show includes solo performances and concludes with a group performance of New World Symphony and Rodeo. This event is appropriate for children five & up. Advance ticket purchase is required, and tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
